Goal: Foster local, regional and national cooperation for the betterment of paddling in America through a reciprocal membership arrangement between the AWC and the ACA.

Adobe Whitewater Club Member Benefits

The Adobe Whitewater Club is dedicated to the enjoyment and protection of the rivers of New Mexico. Membership can be obtained by sending $15 yearly dues to Adobe Whitewater Club, P.O. Box 3835, Albuquerque, NM, 87190-3835 using the membership form.

For that small amount of money, the value of membership in the organization is awesome:
Opportunities to connect with other paddlers, participating in club trips and clinics.
Weekly pool sessions at various locations in New Mexico.
Discounts from various merchants and outfitters
Equipment for rent for extended river trips.
A variety of instructional and entertaining Boating Videos and Books are available for member use. (See the list of available by clicking here). Contact John Wakefield at 291-8350 or kjwake@newmexico.com to make arrangements.
Opportunities to take part in environmental activities like river cleanups.
Opportunities to assist with the Mothers' Day Race – at nearly 50 years, the oldest whitewater race in the western U.S.
The opportunity to become part of a well-respected organization that has earned a degree of trust and influence with the government agencies that manage our rivers and streams.

The Adobe Whitewater Club (AWC) now associated with the American Canoe Association (ACA) as a Paddle America Club.

The purpose of the Paddle America Club program is to promote joint membership in both your local club (AWC) and the ACA. This provides you with a paddling presence both in NM and nationally. If you are a member of the of the AWC (and NOT already a member of the ACA), please consider also joining the ACA. Note you will save money by joining the AWC and ACA, as a family membership.  Since our insurance coverage is provided through ACA, you will need to join the ACA to participate in more than two ABQ roll sessions. You will also be covered for any river activities sanctioned by the club during the year. Note there has been an increase in all membership categories in 2006, including Paddle America memberships. The 2006 Paddle America rates are:

Individual is $30
Family is $40

The $5.00 per member insurance fee has been eliminated for 2006.

AWC – One year of: Flipline; access to club activities; support local club
